A few months ago my great friend Azuki convinced me to read me a book. I am not a great reader, because normally the books do not hook me, but at the insistence of her and considering that we have very similar tastes, I gave her a chance. The book in question was Twilight and in a few days I devoured it and could not stop until I finished with the four books in the saga in less than a month (and that I read them in English).
About the month of April, Azuki, Clara and I talked about taking a "girls" weekend trip since Azuki and I had not done anything since we had returned from Japan four years ago. It had to be something for Europe, about three days at the most, cheap and somewhere we had not gone before. Rome left, but since I had already gone twice and had the third on the horizon we discarded it. Then it occurred to someone: And why don't we go to Volterra? Volterra is the town of Tuscany to which the protagonists of Twilight fly and two chapters of New Moon (second book of the saga) pass in this town. With the "mobster" rental car. We had rented a panda (the cheapest)
and when they arrived at the airport they told us: «it will be a bigger one for the same price». No problemo!
With the objective set, I began to prepare the trip (which I took care of). To go to Tuscany by air, the easiest is to get to Pisa. The Galileo Galilei International Airport is 15 minutes from the leaning tower and quite well connected with the villages of Tuscany. The downside is that only Ryanair has daily direct flights between Pisa and Girona. The other low cost company that flies to Pisa is Vueling but it only flies Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturdays and Sundays. So since the dates were not good, he was ruled out.Farmhouse or B&B in Pisa
I am not a big fan of Ryanair. Basically because you have to go to Girona that is one hour from Barcelona. To get to the airport you can take a bus leaving from the North station. The one-way ticket costs 12 euros and the round trip ticket 21 euros. Let's see, if we multiply 21 euros by three people that gives us 63 euros, which is a peak. So to lower the cost we decided to go with my car to the airport and leave it three days in the airport parking lot. One day leaves for € 8.90 (the three days cost us € 27 approx.)
